With 2024 wrapping up, the anticipation over the new year’s top styles and colors is HIGH! So, without further ado, let’s delve into 2025’s interior design must-haves:
Top 2025 Interior Paint Colors
Each year, the Pantone Color Institute consolidates global color trends into a singular prediction: the leading color that will inspire the world. For 2025, that color is Mocha Mousse.

A warm and decadent brown, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse embodies the rich comforts of chocolate and coffee. Refined yet down-to-earth, the hue offers a sense of luxury that’s accessible to all.
Beyond appealing to the comforts of everyday indulgences, Pantone touts Mocha Mousse’s extreme versatility. Perfectly at ease taking center stage or complementing other hues, Mocha Mousse’s enriching qualities makes it nearly impossible to resist.

Several leading paint brands have also singled out brown, or brown-adjacent, for 2025. Sherwin-Williams’ 2025 Color Capsule features its own Grounded brown, complemented by other neutral tones and more pigmented hues. Graham & Brown’s pick, Elderton, is a rich, medium brown that offers similar sophistication as Pantone’s Mocha Mousse. Benjamin Moore’s Cinnamon Slate is a ‘delicate mix of heathered plum and velvety brown’. Similarly, BEHR’s Rumors is a deep red with rich brown undertones.

Other paint companies, however, have chosen bolder hues. Glidden’s Purple Basil leans more regal decadence than everyday indulgence. Valspar’s Encore is an eye-grabbed, saturated sapphire blue. While softer, HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams’ Quietude is a saturated yet serene sage. Though, one could argue that any of these hues could be enlivened with a hint of Mocha Mousse.

Top 2025 Interior Design Trends
The lifecycle of a ‘trend’ has considerably lengthened over the past few years. People are no longer chasing rapid-fire fads. Instead, they are thoughtfully creating deeply personal and joy-filled homes.
As a result, many of 2025’s most anticipated interior design features may already be familiar to you! However, we see this as a shift worth celebrating – both from a perspective of personal empowerment and environmental sustainability!
Here are the styles we’re most excited to see evolve in 2025:
Color Drenching
Making a serious splash throughout 2024, color drenching is poised to be in high demand in 2025!
This style utilizes the same color across the walls, trim, and ceiling of a singular room. The dramatic, monochromatic look is striking - and has even evolved to encompass a few variations.
Color drenching variation #1 uses patterned textiles, like wallpaper, drapery, and upholstery, to bring additional dimension to your chosen hue.

The second variation, known as double drenching, pairs two colors of the same saturation within the same space. While the hues should have the same color intensity, they don’t necessarily need to be from the same color family.
For example, you could pair a vibrant chartreuse with a deep, emerald green as successfully as two, tonal variations of sapphire. Choosing two distinct shades of the same color creates a harmonious look with depth. For a more complex look, choose different yet complementary colors; we recommend selecting hues that sit next to or near each other on the color wheel to start!

Texture, Texture, Texture!
Nothing lends richness and depth to your space quite like texture! Whether tactile or visual, incorporating dimensional elements into your home is a surefire way to create that sought-after sense of coziness.

Wallpaper, limewash, Roman clay, and slatted wall panels are all excellent options for bringing texture to walls and ceilings. Lush velvets, chunky knits, and ribbed fabrics add complexity to soft furnishings. Infusions of pattern – especially a timeless stripe – bring both structure and visual interest that’s sure to liven up any space.

Vintage, Revisited
Giving vintage pieces new life has been a tenet of modern interior design for some years now. And while the reimagining of vintage furniture and fabrics will continue long past 2025, we want to focus on one particular pairing: vintage tile with modern wallpaper.

Vintage tiles have long been the first to go when renovating dated bathrooms and kitchens. However, designers and design-enthusiasts alike have started rethinking these ceramic stumbling blocks.
Instead of gutting them, the design-savvy are revitalizing vintage tiles by pairing them with modern wallpaper. The strategy highlights the best of both worlds: the craftmanship of bygone eras with today’s contemporary flair. All that’s needed to bridge the two? A common color.
We can’t say enough great things about this innovative design strategy, and we hope to see loads more of it in 2025!
Silver Takes First Place
Brass – polished or with a patina – has been the accent metal of choice over the years. However, silver is predicted to be highly sought after in 2025, as it offers a cool counterbalance to ever-warming interior palettes.
Brass-lovers, however, shouldn’t despair! Silver accents can exist side-by-side with brass, creating metallic harmony as mixing metals becomes more prominent in interior design.
